lack of posts
sorry for the lack of posts and pictures, I have been kinda overwhelmed with orders and working all spare hours in the new studio. I will try and get some pics up! I’m off to oban this friday to take some scarves to a shop who is intertested- and am possibly going to start asking other potential places too.
Hopefull I’ll manage to get the rest of my things in the studio – loom is still wrapped up in the garden awaiting transport and so is the smaller wooden one inside and also my grandfathers stand which I use to sit on when weaving.

Today I listed 4 new wraps into my jemmajo shop, only to find that my mind went blank and I couldn’t think of good appealing titles for them! I’ve listed them under colourway in hope!
Must be the stress of this week………..

I’ve at last opened a new shop for the j’emmajo scarves and moved them there from my knitting shop byemmajo. This may seem a little strange to do that but I’ve had so many commissions for scarves recently that it seemed to be the right thing to do and not have them mixed up with knitting and other things. Actually I named the shop back in april but couldn’t decide whether to or not…
Today I’ve pinned out a gorgeously rich chocolate brown scarf with purples and blues will get a photograph soon…I also started doing some wee cotton bags but am not sure………….will photo them when I think they are right.
TOO MUCH TO DO AND NO TIME TO WRITE!

Come back from Loch Fyne and a great relaxing holiday…beat janice 9 times out of 11 at scrabble!
Have sorted out my teaching at Langside college
Have made two commissions (scarves) and finished off portrait commission.
Have been to cinema twice with tootsie, wallee (rubbish) and space monkeys(better if slightly)
Have decided to do 2 craft fairs if poss one at Byblos glasgow 27th sept and other at lighthouse 27th oct
Have also decided to embelish small cotton bags as well as cashmere scarves -brains a buzzing with all my thoughts whizzing around at a million miles an hour… have also been watching what I eat and have lost 7lbs this week! amazing really…..
Got tootsie her new gymshoes for her new class tomorrow and also nursery starts for her too in the afternoon

At last I’ve managed to make these purple scarves! Been talking about them for ages
two different scarves one more heathery and muted and the other slightly richer with some reds in there!I’ve been making these scarves to commission along with my tapestry portraits and I love the excuse to play with colour whether subtly or boldly…!
long day today
got some amazing 60’s shelves that someone had put out for rubbish…nice and narrow will look fantastic with a lick of paint!Will be great in the hall.and FREE!!! Dad helped me get them into his car though we had to go and buy screwdriver to get legs off first!!
Then went to the park as had promised the wean……….spent a couple of hours there before we got rained on and went home.
Actually did send an invoice and two red cashmere scarves up to invercottage – fantastic resteraunt on loch fyne in the west coast of scotland. They are situated on the side of the loch right next to castle Lachlan which is the ancient home of the Maclachlans. I’ve been making exclusive cashmere tartan applique scarves for them! They are made using the same principal as the pashminas in my shop but with light wool tartan tabs. Really really contemporary looking and gorgeous!
Turned out to be a nice evening so I’m off out to sit on the front step and watch tghe world go by with the wean.
