MY stash found yesterday! I’m going to use them to make more brooches -see www.jemmajo.etsy.com and look at my new brooches.

hooray! New Studio!
At last after 7 years of waiting I’ve got a new studio ! Can’t wait to have most of my stuff out of the house and my loom saved from the garden!!
Not quite sure how I’m going to afford it but I’ll just have to chase those potential commissions! ( I have a few) tapestry portaits in the potential pipe line!
Any way I’d better get on…

craft fair work
been working like a mad woman for this fair, did it yesterday and sold 3 scarves ,3 waist coats and no booties even though everyone picked them up and said “oh how cute!”
also a picture there of some fabric I got from a charity shop, white and silver, think I’m going to put it on a black scarf.
Really want to do some weaving soon getting a hankering for it! So today I uploaded the bootees I didn’t sell to my etsy shop.

I’ve also been given a lot of fabric for using on scarves which is great so I’ve been cutting like mad to get resady to sew and get ready for a craft fair on the 21st!!
One of each colourway I’ve done! many more colourways to do my wool stock is pretty amazing!

decorated two tote bags the other day as i’d bought them with an idea which hadn’t come to fruition ages ago… now i’m not sure again….
can’t decuide whether to put them in www.byemmajo.etsy.com for a nominal cost covering price or what to do with them!

i’ve been thinking how to have a new product for men on the stall………..
so i’ve come up with these waistcoats which are 2ndhand and applique them with vintage fabrics like the scarves- what do you think?

got someone to come and see my machine on friday to tell me whether it is worth being fixed or not… still can’t believe it… was a wedding present 4 yrs ago …stayed in its box unopened til feb and motor has given up already! So of course is out of guarantee, warranty etc….
Gosh I’d better sell some scarves at this craft fair on sat! I’ll need the money for a new sewing machine if its un fixable! Fingers crossed!

the sky is falling!
My computer went down my sewing machine has bust! – it feels like the sky is falling on my head!
on a positive note I phoned Invercottage and they definately are going to place an order for their exclusive Maclachlan tartan scarves in Jan so that is positive! Also Maison Cadeaux is going to take some sale or return! Things are going up and down here! I really felt as if I had my arms cut off when the server was down though!
I got some black watch tartan at a good price so I was going to make a black watch check scarf for Saturdays craft fair – I’ll have to see if I can borrow some one elses machine!
The craft fair I am doing is ‘Made in the Shade’ at the light house GlaSGOW 10.30 til 5.30 this sat 25th of October.

Today I listed 4 new wraps into my jemmajo shop, only to find that my mind went blank and I couldn’t think of good appealing titles for them! I’ve listed them under colourway in hope!
Must be the stress of this week………..
